Proverbs 29:2 which states, "When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan." This scripture emphasizes the importance of having righteous leaders who act in the best interest of the people they lead. It also highlights the negative impact that can result from having leaders who act in a selfish or immoral manner.
